Manipur is situated in the eastern-most corner of Northeast India. The word Manipur is derived from two words, “Mani” meaning ‘Jewel’ and “Pur” meaning “City or place”. Manipur is a state in North East India which became a fully fledged state in March 1972. The state is surrounded with natural beauty. It is known as “Switzerland of India”.The climate is pleasant and is a major tourist destination in India.The Barak River is the largest river in Manipur. The capital city of Manipur is Imphal. The state shares borders with other north-eastern states of Nagaland, Mizoram and Assam and the neighboring country of Myanmar. Due to its wealth of flora and fauna, Manipur is described as a ‘flower on lofty heights’, ‘a jewel of India’ and ‘Switzerland of the East’. Its breath-taking scenic beauty makes it a tourist’s paradise. Manipur has the advantage of acting as India's 'Gateway to the East' through Moreh town, which is the only feasible land route for trade between India and Myanmar and other Southeast Asian countries. Manipur is one of India's largest bamboo producing states and a major contributor to the country's bamboo industry. Manipur has the highest number of handicrafts units as well as the highest number of craft persons comprising skilled and semi-skilled artisans in the entire north-eastern region. Hand loom is the largest cottage industry in Manipur and the state ranks among the top five in terms of the number of looms in the country. Manipur is the first state in India to have set up the 4-core infrastructure of the National e-Governance Plan,namely Common Service Centre, State Wide Area Network, State Data Centre and State Portal, State Service Delivery Gateway and e-forms.

DAY 1: Arrival at Imphal

On arrival, transfer to Hotel. Afternoon Visit: SHRI SHRI GOVINDAJEETEMPLE - is an elegant Vaishnavite shrine located in Imphal, thecapital city of Manipur. It stands adjacent to the palace of the formerrulers of the state. The temple was built in the early 18th century byRajarishi Bhagyachandra. It has a beautiful image of Lord Vishnu, whichis flanked by the idols of Lord Balram and Lord Krishna. ShriGovindajee Temple is simple in its architecture. It has two goldendomes, a paved courtyard and a large raised congregation hall.Overnight in Imphal

DAY 2: Imphal - Moirang - Loktak

Morning after breakfast proceeds to visit-

KEIBUL LAMJAO NATIONAL PARK (one and only floating national park in theworld where the endangered dancing deer – Sangai is found),

LOKATK LAKE (largest fresh water lake in north east),

INA MEMORIAL (Indian tri color flag was first hoisted here by INA atMoirang),

INDIA PEACE MEMORIAL (JAPANESE WAR MEMORIAL) - India Peace Memorial issituated at Red Hill, about 16 km from Imphal, in Bishnupur District ofManipur. It was constructed by a Japanese War Veteran in memory ofJapanese martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fierce battlebetween the British and Japanese during the World War II. DAY 3: Imphal - Andro Village.

Morning after breakfast proceeds to visit Andro Village. The place isfamed for its fireplace which is never allowed to get extinguish) 27 kmtowards east of Imphal is the ancient Scheduled Caste village of Andro,there is one Cultural Complex established by the Mutua Museum, Imphal.It consists of potteries of the North Eastern Region of India. There isa 'Doll-House' where dolls of 29 recognized tribes of Manipur (bothmale and female) are in display.

Afternoon visit - Local Sightseeing of Imphal:

KANGLA FORT –One of the most important historic site of the state andis highly revered as a holy place. The fort was once the seat of powerfor the Manipur kings until it fell into the hands of the British in1892. The fort had witnessed many fierce battles against the erstwhileBritish authorities..,

IMA MARKET (vendors are all women selling products ranging fromhandloom, handicrafts to household items),

II WORLD WAR CEMETRY- Along the National Highway No. 39 lays the ImphalWar Cemetery that preserves the ashes of the soldiers who sacrificedtheir lives in the Second World War. At present, the cemetery preserves1,600 burials that are maintained by the Commonwealth War GravesCommission,

STATE MUSEUM - Manipur State Museum, established in 1969, is locatednear Polo Ground, in Imphal, the capital city of Manipur. The museumexhibits objects belonging to art and archaeology of the region. It hasa fabulous collection of portraits of Manipur’s former rulers,costumes, arms and armory, relics and historical documents. Stayovernight at hotel in Imphal.

DAY 4: Imphal Ukhrul

Morning after breakfast proceeds to Ukhrul. It is a picturesque hilltown of Manipur - lies about 84 km kilometers to the North East ofImphal. The place is inhabited by Tangkhul Tribes. The life and art ofTangkhuls are attractive and captivating. Their different costumes andwears, utensils, architecture, monumental erections and memorial set-updepict their dexterity in art, which also speak of their sense ofbeauty and finesse. Stay overnight at hotel in Imphal.

DAY 5: Airport Drop

Morning after breakfast transfer to Airport for your return journey.Tour Ends

  • The inclusion of extra bed with a booking is facilitated with a folding cot or a mattress as an extra bed.
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel. The standard check-in time is 1300 hrs and the standard check-out time is 1000 hrs.
  • Any kind of personal expenses (Laundry, room service etc..) or optional tours/ extra meals are not inclusive in the package cost.
  • The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Travelspro will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation done from the booking date till seven days prior to the departure date, charges is thirty percent of the package cost.
  • Cancellation done from three days to seven days prior to the departure date, charges is fifty percent of the package cost.
  • Cancellation done twenty four hours to three days prior to departure date, charges are seventy five percent of the packages cost
  • Cancellation done less than twenty four hours prior to the departure date, charges are hundred percent of the package cost
