The Lebong Race Course is abut 8 kms from Darjeeling. This race course is said to be the smallest in the World with a complete lap measuring 480 yds. It is also the highest in the world at 1809 metres, Lebong Race Track is the smallest and highest racetrack in the world. Races are held regularly under the management of the Gymkhana Club. The racing season is from May to June and from October to November.Unpretentiously, it boasts of being the smallest and the highest racetrack in the world. Races are held here regularly on the military parade ground Eight kilometers from Chaurastha, the racing season is from May- June and October-November.
